  1. Parents must be active registered members of St. James for at least 6 months.

2. If the parents are not active registered members of St. James, they must be actively registered in another parish and must bring a letter stating that they attend there.

3. A $10.00 donation should be given from parents and godparents, per person, the day you come and book the Baptism for the Class Certificate.

4. A $20.00 donation should be given on the day of the baptism.

5. Parents and sponsors MUST ATTEND a Pre-Baptismal Class, which takes place on Thursday before the date scheduled to baptize. Classes begin at 7:00pm but parents and sponsors must arrive 15 minutes before the start of the class.

6. The documents required in order to baptize are as follows: child’s birth certificate and sponsors marriage certificate through the Roman Catholic Church. If the sponsors are single we will need their birth certificate, ID, Baptism, Communion and Confirmation certificates. The sponsor must be completely single and NOT LIVING WITH SOMEONE, if they are then they CANNOT be sponsor. All of the documentation must be present in order to be registered to baptize.

7. The sacrament of Baptism is celebrated every Saturday at 9:30AM, except the first Saturday of the month. You should arrive 15 minutes before the celebration starts.

8. To register the child for baptism you need to come 3 weeks in advance. 

 1. Los padres del niño(a) deben ser miembros registrados activos de St. James por lo menos 6 meses. 

2. Si los padres no son miembros de St. James, deben de ser miembros activos de  alguna otra iglesia católica y presentar una carta que indique que son miembros activos de esa iglesia.

3. Se requiere una donación de los padres y padrinos de $10.00 por persona para el certificado de la clase Pre-Bautismal.

4. Una donación se hace el Sábado al terminar el bautizo.

5. Las padres y padrinos deben de asistir a una clase pre-bautismal, que se lleva a cabo el Jueves antes del bautizo. La clase comienza a las 6:45pm, pero deben de estar 15 minutos antes de que comienza la clase.

6. Los documentos requeridos para bautizar son los siguientes: Acta de nacimiento del niño(a) y el Acta de Matrimonio por la Iglesia Católica Romana de los padrinos. Si los padrinos son solteros tienen que estar completamente solteros y NO VIVIENDO EN UNION LIBRE, si están viviendo en unión libre NO PUEDEN SER PADRINOS. A ellos se les pide su acta de Nacimiento, una identificación (ID), y certificados de Bautizo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación.

7. El sacramento del Bautismo se administra cada Sábado en la iglesia a las 9:30am excepto el primer Sábado del mes. Deben de llegar 15 minutos antes de iniciar la celebración.

8. Para registrar el niño(a) para el bautizo tienen que registrarlo con 3 semanas de anticipación. 

1. All couples need to contact the Church office six (6) months in advance.
2. Catholics need a baptismal certificate issued within the last 6 months, communion, confirmation and birth certificate, and one passport size picture of each. For those who are already married civilly, please bring a copy of the marriage license.
3. Church affidavits concerning one’s freedom to marry must be obtained from parents, guardian, or other qualified witnesses.
4. If you have been married before, please ask to speak to Jenny Toledo for your process.
5. The couple must attend an engaged encounter retreat and must also attend to at least 1 interview with the Priest before the ceremony.
6. Catholics should receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) some time before the ceremony.
7. The couple must obtain a marriage license at least 72 hours prior to the ceremony from the Dallas County Records Building, 500 ELM ST DALLAS, TX 75202 (214) 653-7099 which is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am. until 4:30pm. Unlike Mexico, do not get married civilly before a Justice of the Peace or at the Courthouse. The marriage license should be presented to the Priest at the time of the interview. If you don’t bring the license, you can’t get married. 
8. Arches are permitted only at the Church entrance and not near the altar. We also require a flower arrangement for the Virgin Mary.
9. Since we have other ceremonies on the same day, each wedding must begin on time.
10. Rehearsal and confession is held the night before the wedding at 5:30 p.m. or at a time determined by the celebrant (please be on time) the only people to accompany you at rehearsal are both parents of the couple. For the ceremony both should arrive 30 minutes early. No exceptions.
11. No rice, birdseed, confetti, flowers, etc. are to be thrown inside or outside the Church.
12. PHOTOGRAPHERS: All are asked to maintain respect and reverence during the ceremony. It is permitted to take pictures during the ceremony but not during the homily. We also request that you avoid using the flash toward the priest. 
13. The offering for the weddings is $500.00 for members of St. James. For non-members is $600.00.  If the celebration is canceled no money will be refunded and if you change the date or hour there will be a $25 fee. The balance should be paid off one month before the celebration.
14. For choir call the church office, the donation is $150.00.

1. Las parejas deben comunicarse con la oficina de la Iglesia para      apartar la fecha con un mínimo de 6 meses de anticipo.
2. Católicos necesitan sus certificados de bautizo, comunión y confirmación, actas de nacimiento y una foto  tipo pasaporte de ambos. El certificado de Bautizo debe de ser obtenido durante los últimos seis meses. Los que ya estén casados por la ley civil, por favor de traer la copia de la licencia de su matrimonio.
3. La oficina debe recibir testimonio de que estén libres para casarse; de sus padres, hermanos, u otro testigo.
4. Si usted ha sido casado(a) anteriormente, favor de pedir hablar con Jenny Toledo para su proceso.
5. La pareja tiene que asistir a un retiro de tres Sábados que serán de 9:00am-2pm. También tendrán que asistir a una entrevista con el Sacerdote.
6. Católicos deben de recibir el sacramento de Reconciliación (Confesión) antes de la Ceremonia.
7. Deben de obtener una licencia de matrimonio (si no están casados por civil) de Lunes A Viernes de 8am-4:30pm en el Dallas County Records Building, 500 ELM ST DALLAS TX 75202, (214) 653-7099 y esperar 72 horas antes de la ceremonia. La licencia es validad por 30 días. NO necesitan casarse por el Civil. La licencia debe ser presentada al Sacerdote el día de la entrevista. Si no trae la licencia no se puede casar. 
8. El arco está permitido a la entrada de la Iglesia pero no junto al altar, también se requiere que traigan un arreglo floral para la Virgen María.
9. PRACTICA: La práctica y confesiones serán un día antes de la boda a las 5:30pm. A la Practica se tienen que presentar los novios y papas de ambos. Como tenemos otras ceremonias el mismo día, es importante comenzar a tiempo la práctica. A la ceremonia se les pide que lleguen 30 minutos antes. No Excepciones.
10. No se permite tirar arroz, comida de pájaros, confeti, flores, etc., dentro ni afuera de la Iglesia. Les pedimos no masticar chicle, ni tirarlo en la      alfombra, bancas, o en el piso. Y favor de NO INGRESAR CON ALIMENTOS A LA IGLESIA. 
11. FOTÓGRAFOS: Se les pide que guarden reverencia en la ceremonia. Se permite tomar  fotografías durante la ceremonia, menos durante la homilía, también se les pide de evitar el uso del flash hacia los sacerdotes. 
12. La donación de la boda es de $500.00 para miembros de St. James. Para los que no son miembros la donación es de $600.00.  Si la celebración es cancelada su dinero no-será reembolsado y si cambia de fecha la celebración habrá un costo de  $25.00 por hacer el cambio. Se requiere pagar la celebración un mes antes de la celebración. 
13. Para el Coro favor de llamar a la oficina, la donación es de $150.00.
